Established in 1999, NXT has quickly built a reputation in the bowling industry as a manufacturer of fine quality bowling shoes and apparel. In fact, a number of the top bowlers in the world, including the 2000 PBA Bowler of the Year, Norm Duke, and Hall of Fame Bowler, Brian Voss, are now wearing NXT Bowler products on tour.
With a product line that includes hand-made bowling shoes, vintage bowling shirts, and high-tech apparel, NXT has already begun to set new trends in the industry.
The NXT collection of bowling shirts, which are inspired by the classic styles of the 1950's, use many of the traditional details such as the two button cinch tab, vented action backs, and ribbed armholes. However, NXT goes beyond mere reproduction of these retro-styled shirts by introducing new, high tech fabrics, materials, and designs into the product line.
The height of the bowling shirt industry was from the 1950's to the 1960's. During this time, almost every team had bowling shirts with a sponsor whose name was embroidered on the back. Back then, bowling really had it's own unique character and image, where styles, designs, and colors were only limited to a team's or individual's imagination. Once again, bowling inspired fashion has become a real "hot" commodity, not only in the bowling centers, but also in street wear. Bowling shirts are worn on the lanes, in the clubs, and out on the town. Many of the top fashion designers have created bowling inspired products from bags and shoes to apparel.
From movies to music videos and television, bowling shoes and shirts are all over the big screen (and little screen). The nationally televised show, "ED" has even selected NXT to be used for wardrobe on the lead character of their show. As styles and trends continue to evolve, so does NXT. Introducing more fashion-forward concepts and implementing them from the drawing board to production, NXT will continue to extend the boundaries of fashion into and outside of the bowling world.
