Nation's top 10 youth team scores for 2005-06 available

The nation's top 10 youth team scores in various age categories certified by the United States Bowling Congress for the 2005-06 bowling season are now available.

Stellar youth performances within the top 10 team lists include the 589 two-player team game score for 15-18-year-olds rolled by brothers Brandon and Johnathan Bower of Middletown, Pa. Johnathan, 17, rolled 289 while Brandon, 15, rolled his first USBC-certified 300 game on June 10 during the Pennsylvania USBC Youth Championship Tournament at Colonial-Berks Lanes in Reading, Pa.

Among the best youth team series, Jenifer Wainner of Santa Paula, Calif., and Mason Sherman of Moorpark, Calif., topped the two-player 19-22-year-old list with their 1,577. Jenifer shot 763 and Mason rolled 814 on March 14 during the Hawaii Bound League at Buena Lanes in Ventura. Both bowlers contributed perfect games in their top series performance, Mason during the second game and Jenifer during the third game.

Consistent tracking and recording of top youth scratch bowling team accomplishments at the national level began with the 2005-06 season, so each youth category in the top 10 listing reflects a USBC record.
