JBT Online Update 9-23-09

Red Rock results posted!

Congratulations to Rebeca Reguero, Samantha Meyers, Brandon Kraye, and Ian Hanuscin, all winners in JBT action at Red Rock this week.  What an amazing new center at an amazing new facility!  Complete final standings, as well as all the updated, stats, stories, videos, records, and everything else related to the wild, wonderful world of JBT is all at the best website in junior bowling, www.bowljbt.com.  Please take the time to explore through the website, especially if you haven't lately- we think you'll have a lot of fun seeing just how much we have to offer.

Huge events at Kyrene this weekend!

You don't want to miss this weekend's Arizona Conference doubleheader at Kyrene Lanes in Chandler, a suburb of Phoenix.  Our Kyrene events are always wonderful, but there's even more than usual going on, such as:

            - Sunday's event is worth double points.  Double point events are always key in our season-long points races.

            - Saturday's event will be sponsored by Pepper Carr of Avon.  A special JBT Avon Travel Bag will be raffled off, including 15 items worth well over $100 retail.  Even better, you can go to  www.youravon.com/peppercarr, and get all products at the Avon line, with a portion of the proceeds going to JBT scholarship programs.

            - Saturday and Sunday's event will also be a day of opportunity for everyone.  Many of you are hopefully using www.jbttravel.com as your web search engine for hotels, etc. when you're on the JBT road- if you're not, you should be.  However, JBT Travel is much more than just a search engine- it's a chance for all of you to become partners in World Ventures, the power behind JBT Travel.  Even though JBT tournaments are the best value in bowling, we know they aren't cheap, and we know in these rough times many of you are looking for ways to help cover these and other expenses.  We're all travelers and all bowlers, so I can't think of a more obvious tie in than WV.  Parents (and anyone else),  you'll have the chance to learn about World Ventures during the qualifying round of both days' events- as a World Ventures partner myself, I know you'll like what you'll hear.

Check bowler averages for Baker team events!

Remember, the 10/15 average cutoff is coming up for our first 3 Baker Team Challenge events.  Each team must have at least one bowler averaging 180 or under as of 10/15/09.  Check the averages section of the statistics page, where you can view bowler averages.   Drop us a line if you have any questions.

After just 12 tournaments....

We're just 12 tournaments into the 2009-10 season, and if you've missed some of these tournaments, you've missed a lot!  So far, we've...

                - awarded over $18,000 in scholarships to bowlers all over the western U.S.!

                - had a four year-old finish 7th, and a seven year-old finish 4th!

                - had 7 bowlers get to the last Powerbowl shot (only 25 did all last season)!

                - bowled on 9 different lane patterns, 75% of them non-house patterns!

                - awarded scholarships to 197 different bowlers already!

                - had a ton of fun and made memories for life for bowlers of all ages and averages!

So... .make your plans for JBT events in the near future, and get your share of the fun!!!

Help create the 2010 schedule!

After input from many folks, we are ready to finalize our dates for the rest of the 2009-10 season.  Scheduling is a bit of a thankless job, as pleasing one person often means displeasing another, but we think we've come up with a schedule that is the best possible for the most possible people.

If you see any conflicts below with city, state,or other tournaments, or any glaring overlaps, PLEASE contact us immediately.  If you have any suggestions for centers to visit, again PLEASE contact us immediately.  We hope to start booking these dates immediately, so get those suggestions in right away.
