JBT Online Update 7-6-07: TPC Update & More!
We're only two weeks away from the JBT's Touring Players' Championship, hooray!!
A couple of bits of info about the TPC:
First, we'll have a practice session, Friday from 10 AM - 5PM. All 4 lane conditions that will be used in the TPC will be available (we won't tell you which order you'll see them in, nyahh nyahh!). I don't know how much it is a game, but mention you're here for the JBT and I'm sure they'll take care of you.
Second, we'll have a WARM-UP DOUBLES event Friday night, 6-9 PM. It's three games, scratch or handicap, open to anyone, adult or junior- but at least one of the team members must be a TPC eligible bowler. Entry is only $20 per team, with the top 1:8 teams receiving scholarships to juniors. It's on the house pattern. Unlimited re-entries time permitting. And, best of all, you can start anytime we have the room- right at 6 PM, a little later if you like, as late as 8 PM if we can fit you in! Come on down for some relaxed, pre-TPC fun!
Also, Friday night, Glenfair has its "cosmic bowl", starting at 10 PM. It's $10 for unlimited bowling. So, we have lots of bowling for you on Friday of TPC day as well!

More great news: we're increasing the prize fund for the Girls' Invitational! First place is now a guaranteed minimum $600! The top 50 season-long female point scorers have been mailed entry blanks for this event, and we hope to see you there- finally, something just for our high average JBT females!

Hopefully, many of you have noticed that we've posted a preliminary 07-08 schedule on our website- if not, check it out! Once we "pretty up" a line, that means it's finalized and official! Our goal is to have the whole she-bang complete by next week- at which point you'll be mailed schedules. Wooooo--hooooooo!

Don't forget the Desert Open is fast approaching as well, July 28-29 at AMF Deer Valley. Bowl the full PBA National format for a shot at $1,000 first place scholarships in both scratch and handicap-- sign up now!

Make your plans now for the Las Vegas Open, August 3-5 at The Orleans! It's run by the east coast version of JBT, and has paid over $2,000 for first place the last five years. Another great event!
