Hello everyone!
A busy week in JBT means two email updates!
First off, if you're a JBT bowler going to Teen Masters, Warren Meyers would like to get a group picture of you, Tuesday at 5:30 PM, so hopefully he'll see you there.
Next, we're happy to announce our remaining 06-07 season award winners. You can view these winners at the "Year End Award Winners" and "Record Books" pages of the website- check it out!
Here's the Rookies of the Year:
Mojave: Donovan Koff
NM-TX: Tevynn Laws
AZ: Taylor Knight
So Cal: Karlie Loop
Here's our Most Improved bowlers:
Mojave: Paul Huether
Pac NW: Malachi Kahr
NM-TX: Billy Read
AZ: Guy Prewitt
So Cal: Jenny Phandanouvong
We're especially proud of our Sportsmanship Award winners, because in our competitive world, we think that's a very important honor. This is also the only honor that's not mathematical- it's based on your input, and what me and my staff sees at each event. Heeeere's the winners:
Pac NW- Kevin Nagasawa
So Cal- Jeff Spiesman
Arizona- Mike Cross
NM-TX- Nathan Hughes
Mojave- Kary Nguyen
All of the above are deserving winners, picked from many more deserving candidates. We also have an All-Conference Sportsmanship winner. To view why this person won, watch the end of the handicap match of the Oasis video on our website. This guy just lost his second title match of the weekend, this time to a 6 year-old girl. This can be an aggravating situation for any bowler, let alone a teenager trying desperately to win. What was his response? A high five for the girl, that turned into a hug, that turned into hoisting the winner on his shoulders! If that isn't sportsmanship, I don't know what is. So.. it's an honor to give the All-Conference sportsmanship award to Carlos Mendez.
Congrats to all our All-Star team, Sportsmanship, Rookie of The Year, and Most Improved winners. Again, be sure to visit every part of the website to check out everything going on in the busy world of JBT!!!
See you at the Desert Open Saturday!
