Last weekend the NM-TX Conference wrapped up its season, as Geoffrey Young and Marcos Armijo won $1,000 scholarships each as Invitational champions. So Cal this weekend!
This weekend, the So Cal Conference wraps up its season with a thrilling weekend of JBT action at Norwalk's Keystone Lanes. We'll begin on Saturday with a regular season event, beginning promptly at Noon. This is your last chance to qualify for or improve your standing in Sunday's Invitational, so don't miss out!
Then on Sunday, it's Invitational time! We bowl at 9:30, but player intros and practice will start sooner, so be sure to be checked in by 9 AM at the latest! As with all Invitationals, $1,000 will go to each division's winner, with all 16 finalists cashing, so if you're one of the eligible bowlers, you simply need to be there!
TPC room block extended to July 1
With the NM-TX season wrapped up, another 40 bowlers have qualified for the Touring Players Championship, our most important event, with its $2,000 top scholarship up for grabs. Sunset Station, the host hotel, has extended its deadline to reserve under the JBT discount rate to July 1- but we suggest you get your rooms sooner than that. If you decide not to stay there, please remember to try www.jbttravel.com to search for other rooms.
Tourney of Champions - AZ Invite next week!
Don't forget, next Saturday is the JBT Tournament of All-Time Champs and Almost Champs, at BRC Kyrene in Chandler, AZ. This event is open to anyone who has EVER won or finished second in a JBT event. This is always great fun for everyone. We don't have the ability to mail out flyers to all our JBT alumni who are eligible, so please help us spread the word to all of our JBT champs throughout history that it's T of C time again! Then, the day after is the AZ Invitational- that field is fully set- you can always check out the "Statistics" or "Invite Qualifiers" section of the website to verify your eligibility.
