JBT Online Update 5-27-09

After a Memorial Day Weekend week off (the JBT's first since last August), the JBT roars into its thrilling finishing stretch! Read on...

Tucson results posted! Thanks to everyone who came out to a fantastic wrapup to the Arizona Conference's 08-09 season, with great events at Green Valley Lanes and Bedroxx. Over $4,000 in scholarships were awarded to juniors of all ages and averages over the weekend! Complete final results, and all the updated stats, stories, pictures, videos, and everything else going on in the wild, wonderful world of JBT are all at our website, www.bowljbt.com- check it out today!

AZ Invitational field now set! The field is now set for the Arizona Invitational, June 21 at Kyrene Lanes in Chandler. Like all the other Invites, $1,000 first place scholarships are up for grabs in both divisions. Invitations were handed out in Tucson to all eligible bowlers- and 90% of them ended up on the floor, as usual, heheh. Those who were in Tucson who left their Invites there can view the same info at the schedule page of our website. There's nothing to fill out or bring with you, it's just details on the Invite's different format. The 40 of you who are AZ Invite eligible who were not in Tucson will be mailed Invites this week, so watch for them in the mail. Not sure if you're eligible? Just check out the AZ points or the Invite Qualifiers sections of the website to verify your status.

Girls', Mojave Invitationals this weekend in Vegas! Gold Coast in Las Vegas hosts not one, but two Invitationals this weekend! On Saturday, the Girls Invitational will roll starting at Noon. $500 is the first place scholarship, but girls who won a JBT Women's Series event during the season can earn an extra $500 bonus, so the winner can cash for a cool $1,000 scholarship windfall! Girls, this is a rare chance to play for big bucks with out those nasty, disgusting guys getting in the way, so make the most of it! If you're eligible, we hope to see you there!

Then, on Sunday, the Mojave Conference wraps up its season with its Invitational, starting at 9 AM. Tight point races, and triple points on the line, mean that a whole bunch of bowlers can move up in the Go Wireless JBT Bowler of the Year races, and get into the all-important top 20 in points to get into the Touring Players Championship, also held in the Vegas area. We hope to see all Invitational eligible bowlers there, because, hey, why the heck wouldn't you??

TPC room block continuing to fill Speaking of the TPC, be sure to not delay in getting a room at Sunset Station, the host hotel. If you happen to not qualify, you'll know almost a month before the event if you need to cancel. Sunset Station is a very nice hotel, and as such isn't the cheapest- but Henderson is about 15 minutes from the Strip, more than that in traffic- so weigh your options carefully if you decide to shop around. If you do shop around, please use jbttravel.com, by the way. Either way, be sure to be planning for the great summer of JBT action- the biggest fun, national-level competition, and by far the best entry fee to prize fund ratio out there-- don't miss any of it!

Do we have your current addy? If you've moved or are moving, you have better things to worry about than JBT, probably, but that means you won't get things like Invite flyers and schedules. We also get several pieces of mail returned- we may not have your proper address, our post office might stink--- whatever. I'm currently holding returned mail from the following names. if you're on it, drop me a line so we can get your current info:

Bautista Buster Cuomo Courtney, D. Dubia Escandon Guba JImenez Kellogg Long, T Madrid Masterson Mulcahy Robinson, A Schindwolf Snell Torrence Trudel, M Ursillo

See you soon! We'll see you this weekend for great JBT Invitational action in Vegas! Keep spreading the word about the opportunities that only JBT provides!
