Johnson, Peoria results posted
Thanks to everyone who came out to two great events last weekend in the Phoenix area! Be sure to read the final results at the best website in junior bowling, www.bowljbt.com. After yuo read this weekend's results, poke around and check out some other results from some other JBT conferences- there's tons going on in JBT every weekend, and the more you know, the more exciting the Tour gets!
Reguero wins Super Bowl contest
AMF Peoria hosted our annual Super Bowl predict the score contest, which was appropriate since it's 5 miles from where the Cardinals play. What a show the home team put on, but in the end the black and gold took it home, and the closest prediction to the actual final score was Rebeca Reguero's 27-24 Steelers win, just one point away from the 27-23 final, earning her a free entry to a future JBT event. Congrats!
Las Vegas this weekend; Double Points Sunday!
The Mojave Conference rolls on this weekend with an important weekend in Las Vegas! On Saturday we visit Silver Nugget Lanes. We start at 12:30, so you'll have plenty of time to get there if you bowl a morning league. A big bonus is in store there, as anyone who shoots a 300 game will earn an extra $300 scholarship, in addition to the usual share of the $2,000 Ebonite 300 game bonus. Wow!
Then, on Sunday, it's the last double points event of the Mojave season. We're at Suncoast, and we begin VERY early- 8 AM. Ouch! of course, that means we'll be done sooner, and again, double points mean you could earn as much as 445 points in that event alone- holy Toledo! Set the alarm early, and we'll see you at Suncoast!
Scorebooks are available again!
The very popular spiral-bound scorebooks that we sell at JBT events are back in stock! They're still only $10, pick one or more up at your next JBT event!
TPC Hotel rooms available
The big summer tourneys will be upon us before we know it, and none are bigger than the Touring Players Championship, July 24-26 at Strike Zone in Henderson NV. The room block is all set if you'd like to stay at Strike Zone. Call them now and mention the JBT rate.
High School Bowler? SPREAD THE WORD!
We're constantly reminding you that the only way we can continue to exist is through spreading the word to your fellow bowlers about the great things that make JBT special. Those of you who bowl in high school, this is a PERFECT opportunity to do just that. We've had a few new bowlers discover us through high school, and it's not surprising that most of them are doing VERY well. Many high school bowlers are new and thus quickly improving, so they've found JBT to be exactly what they need to continue making strides in their bowling career.
If you bowl high school, PLEASE tell not just your team, but ALL high school teams about JBT events. make sure to note the key points about JBT, namely:
a) YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE GOOD. That's what the handicap division is all about- beating your own average, not necessarily being a great bowler. 'New' bowlers are more than welcome, and in fact can and have done awfully well. And if you're already pretty good? Come try out our scratch action!
b) YOU CAN BOWL JBT AND STILL BOWL EVERYTHING ELSE. JBT isn't a league, just come whenever you can. And, of course, JBT events don't affect in any way your eligibility for other bowling events. It's come to my attention that a few high school parents in Nevada were told differently, which is enough to make my head steam, so please be vigilant in correcting them in that regard. Ignorance stinks.
c) NOBODY AWARDS MORE. Our scholarship totals are simply unmatchable. We're not cheap to play in, for sure, but the awarded to collected ratio won't be even approached anywhere else.
The high school example is just an example of what we need everyone to do- you're always our ambassadors, everywhere you go. Since prize funds are based on entries, it's directly to your own benefit to keep spreading the word!
See you soon!
As always, tons of action and fun for all ages and averages is going on every week in the wonderful world of JBT. We'll see you in Vegas this week, get ready for action in California, New Mexico, and Washington in the next two weeks, or at other JBT events in the near future!
