Silver Nugget, Suncoast results posted
Thanks to everyone who came out to two great events last weekend in the Las Vegas area! Be sure to read the final results and all the completely updated stats, videos, and so much more, at the best website in junior bowling, www.bowljbt.com. Double points on Sunday meant a big leap in points for many people, check that out as well as all the other sections of the site today!
Tacoma This Weekend!
Coming up this weekend is great Pacific Northwest Conference action as Pacific Lanes hosts us for the first time, with a doubleheader weekend. Saturday's event starts at Noon, and Sunday's event starts at 10 AM. As always, you can bowl just one, but we hope you bowl both! Sunday's event is also a double points event AND a Women's Series event, so a huge move up in your Pacific NW point standings can be made on Sunday. Please bring a friend or two or six with you- there's a lot of events in the Northwest, but nothing remotely like what we do at JBT for juniors of all ages and all averages, so we hope you'll help us continue to exist by spreading the word about what we do!
Women's Series events the next 4 Sundays!
The very popular JBT Women's Series rolls on with Women's Series events this Sunday at Pacific, next Sunday at Bowlium, March 1 in Tucson, and March 8 in Laughlin. Every female is automatically entered in the Women's Series event just by entering that day's JBT event.
As a refresher how it works for the girls: every JBT event awards separate female points to the top 5 female 5-game qualifying totals. You can view these points at the "Statistics" section of our website. The top 60 female point scorers advance to the Girls Invitational, May 31 in Las Vegas. The Invitational offers $500 for first place, which is pretty cool... BUT... if you win a Women's Series event, you're eligible for a bonus prize list at the Invitational with ANOTHER $500 on top. So, if you win the Girls Invitational AND won a Women's Series event during the season, BAM! That's a $1,000 scholarship!!!
Nobody else does this much for higher-average female bowlers. We hope you'll spread the word about it for big girl turnouts at Women's Series, and all other JBT events!
Big Albuquerque, So Cal events next weekend!
Silva Lanes in Albuquerque hosts a NM-TX doubleheader next weekend- it's been a while since we've been in Albuquerque, so we're hopeful for a big turnout- but again, only with your help in spreading the word. Only one more Albuquerque weekend remains after this before the Invitational, so be sure to see us at Silva next weekend!
Also next weekend, we have what we hope to be a huge So Cal weekend with two sponsored events. Vivid College Scouting Corp. sponsors our Saturday event at BRC West Covina, with a 1 PM starting time. That's pretty cool, but then on Sunday we're pulling out all the stops with our event at Bowlium, 10 AM start. Felix Chac Chuo Farm Inc. sponsors this stop, which will have:
- $300 for first instead of the usual $200
- TWO Ebonite bowling balls raffled off instead of one
- a HUGE 3 foot tall trophy to the champs (view the trophy on our schedule page)
- FIVE Powerbowl players for the current $600 Powerbowl jackpot (instead of 3)
It's our hope that this many extra goodies will give us a really big turnout (we're curious to see if that's the case, to be honest.) If this really does help, maybe we'll do it all the time, who knows? The moral of the story? Get all your So Cal bowler friends together, and get to JBT that weekend! Well worth the trip from out of the area as well!
Start planning the summer!
It's still chilly, but summer will be here before we know it, and with it the huge-prize fund summer JBT events. There's other, non-JBT events, of course, but we really think what we offer is a great value and a great national-level experience, with an entry fee vs. prize fund vs. tournament experience you can find anywhere. I hate to be as blunt about it as that, but hey, times are tough, and we want our events to be your choice if you have to choose between events.
We'll go into each summer event in detail soon, but be advised that hotel blocks are already set aside for the Touring Players Championship at Sunset Station, and the east coast JBT's Las Vegas Open at The Orleans. Click on the schedule section of the website for more details as they become available. A bowler who gets hot over the summer could easily win over $10,000 in JBT summer events alone-- you don't want to miss any of it!!!
See you soon!
We'll see you in Tacoma this weekend for more thrilling, exhausting, unique, awesome, and FUN JBT action! Please spread the word about the one, the only JBT, and we'll see you soon!
