Kingman results posted
Thanks to everyone who came out to an exciting wrapup to our amazing holiday week at Kingman's Cerbat Lanes- it's always one of our favorite regular season events as it brings together people from all 5 JBT conferences, and even beyond that. Check out the complete results today at the biggest website in junior bowling, www.bowljbt.com!
Main Event results are already posted!!!
Complete results from the breathtaking action of the 2008 Las Vegas Main Event are now available at the Main Event section of the website- check it out today! If you missed it, you missed an amazing tournament that awarded over $56,000- that's right, $56,000- in scholarships to bowlers of all ages and averages nationwide. JBT's own Brenden Lou captured the handicap singles title for a cool $2,000 payday, while plenty of other JBT regulars enjoyed success in all of the many categories available at the event. Please visit the website today and read all about it. We'll also be sending a full Main Event-specific email update soon.
Roswell This Weekend!
Take a deep breath, everyone, because the JBT barrels right along into 2009 with no rest for the weary! It's time again to greet the aliens in Roswell, with a doubleheader weekend at Town & Country Recreation. We begin at Noon on Saturday, and 10 AM on Sunday. It's January now, but it will be June before you know it, and every point counts to get you into those Invitationals and the TPC, so get a carpool together and see us in Roswell this weekend!
Milwaukie / Vancouver next weekend!
Pacific Northwest conference action continues next weekend, with a doubleheader weekend in the Portland area- whether it ever stops snowing there or not! On Saturday, we make our first ever visit to Vancouver's Hazel Dell Lanes (also the site of this year's Pac NW Invitational), with a Noon start time. Then, on Sunday, we visit always popular Milwaukie Bowl, only 10-15 minutes from Hazel Dell, with a 10 AM start. Pac NW bowlers, let's keep the momentum up! Keep telling your fellow bowlers about the exciting opportunities JBT provides, and we'll see you there! (Having said that, Milwaukie Bowl can only fit a maximum of 64 bowlers- either prepay on the website to guarantee your spot, or arrive very early, as a good turnout will mean a sellout).
Speaking of sellouts...
Entries have really picked up at JBT events lately, which is a great thing, and a testimony to the fact that you guys understand how important spreading the word is. In fact, almost every event we ran in December was a sellout... which means we had to turn away a few bowlers, including some of our 'regulars'. It had been a while since we had to deal with sellouts, so it caught a few folks off guard. So, please note that a prepaid entry is ONLY good up until 30 minutes before start time. At that time, we fill the remainder of available spots on a first-come, first-served basis. We're not doing this to be mean, we're doing this to start a busy event on time with a minimum of people waiting around for what turns out to be no-shows. Also, please note that I don't always have the ability to answer texts or cell phone messages during check-in. Some bowling centers have lousy cell reception, and other times it's simply too crazy to check a text message, but I do try. If you have any questions regarding check-in and entry procedures, drop me a line anytime.
See you soon!
Happy new year everyone! We can't wait to show you what we have in store for 2009! But to see it, you've gotta be there, so we'll see you at Roswell this weekend, Portland next weekend, or other events soon as the JBT rolls on into 2009!
