JBT Online Update 11/18/09

Phoenix results posted!

Congratulations to all our champions and prize winners from an exciting weekend in Las Vegas and Albuquerque!  Complete final standings, as well as all the updated, stats, stories, videos, records, and everything else related to the wild, wonderful world of JBT are all now updated at the best website in junior bowling, www.bowljbt.com.  Please take the time to explore through the website, especially if you haven't lately- we think you'll have a lot of fun seeing just how much we have to offer.

Pac NW this weekend!

Coming up this weekend is a terrific Pac NW doubleheader!  Saturday we're at Hazel Dell Lanes in Vancouver, and should have plenty of room for everyone- spread the word about what we do that is only available at JBT events, and we'll have a great day!  We begin at Noon, so please allow yourself enough travel time- it looks like a rainy weekend is in store.  Sunday is a popular stop at Milwaukie Bowl- and this 16-lane center can only hold 64 entries, which is less than we're averaging per event in the Pac NW this year.  If you're planning to bowl Sunday, we suggest you prepay.  You can pay by credit card at the 'sign me up!' section of the website, or you can prepay for Sunday at Saturday's event.  if you wait until Sunday, please arrive very early for the 10 AM start.  Either way, 64 is an absolute limit, so once it's full, it's full.  Don't be shut out!

Best in the West just around the corner!

We're less than two weeks away from the first JBT 'major' of the season, the Best in the West tournament, at BRC Mesa in the Phoenix area.  Even though it only counts for Arizona (and all-conference) points, it's still one that we hope bowlers from all 5 JBT conferences will attend.  It's well worth it, too- $500 minimum for first place, a 2-day format with 60% of bowlers advancing, and without a doubt the most unique, fun format you've ever bowled.   Check out the details at the 'schedule' page of the website.

AZ, Pac NW Baker events coming soon!

The So Cal Baker was a great team-oriented event, and you have 2 more chances to get in on the Baker fun this December.  We have Baker events 12/13 in Phoenix and 12/13 in Seattle.  It's only $20 per person, and a unique chance to experience the team spirit of Baker action.  Remember, the 10/15 average cutoff has passed, and that's the average you use to determine eligibility.  Each team MUST have at least one bowler averaging 180 or under as of 10/15/09.  Check the 'averages' section of the 'statistics' page, where you can view 10/15 bowler averages.   We even put up a separate list of bowlers who are just under the 180 cutoff to be even more helpful- if you're on that list, you're a valuable commodity!  Remember also that your Baker team can have up to two adult bowlers (which in JBT-speak means bowlers age 22 and over as of 8/29/09), and that the adult can be the under-180 bowler- so, some pretty creative teams can be made- go wild!  I have a few bowlers looking for teams as well.  Drop us a line if you have any questions.

New dates on the schedule page!

Head on over to the 'schedule' page of the website, where new dates are now posted, with more coming every day.  There's some great stuff on there-- check it out, and we'll talk about it more when we get the schedule finalized!

Doubles coming up soon!

Our December Doubles events are coming soon, starting with December 6 in So Cal and New Mexico.  In our doubles events, each team must have at least one JBT-eligible bowler, and your partner can be literally anyone else.  These are always some of our most fun and exciting events of the year, so be thinking about your partners!

 See you soon!

We'll see you this weekend, or at JBT events in the near future!
