The JBT has been all over the western US the last few weeks, with tons of exciting action and big scholarship awards to juniors of all ages and averages. A great mix of veterans and first time winners, guys and girls, and high and low averages, have all done very well- be sure to check out the final results, and all the updated stories and stats, at our huge website, www.bowljbt.com- check it out today!
Vegas This Weekend- Doubles Sunday! Coming up this weekend is Mojave Conference action at the beautiful South Point casino. On Saturday is a regular singles tournament, beginning at Noon. Then, on Sunday, it's our first Doubles event of the season, also at South Point, beginning at 9 AM. Just like a normal doubleheader weekend, you can bowl only Saturday, or only Sunday, or- we hope- double your fun and bowl them both! Remember, in our doubles events, a junior's partner can be another junior OR an adult, so there's no excuse for anyone not having a partner for this event! we hope Mojave Conference folks will spread the word and bring a whole bunch of new folks to experience the fun and excitement of JBT.
Vista next Weekend- Spaghetti Dinner Saturday! Next weekend, the So Cal Conference rolls on with a doubleheader at Vista Rec- 1 PM start time on Saturday, and 10 AM on Sunday. Saturday night, the folks at Vista are having a spaghetti dinner to raise funds for the Vista Junior program. It's anytime from 4 PM to 9 PM and the cost is $8 for adults, $5 for 10 and younger, right at the bowl. So, please consider that as an option for Saturday night chow.
Cactus Bowl Nov.1-2 will host a Verve! meeting Verve, the official energy drink of the Junior Bowlers Tour, stopped by at our Glenfair event to help spread the word of their product. Remember, we don't want you to just drink Verve, we want interested folks to become Verve representatives. This means extra money in your pocket, which doesn't hurt anyone, and extra money in JBT prize funds, which we all love. Along those lines, the folks at Verve wanted to pass along the following statement:
We would like to thank you all for your energy and effort to make last weekends event another great success. Now that most of you have had a chance to try our sponsors drink….Verve! we would like to invite any or all of you to a meeting we will be having for any of you who would like to learn more about the opportunities available to JBT and you as individuals to use this vehicle to create revenue streams for your events or even personally. Remaining 08-09 Schedule shaping up If you check out the schedule page of the website,you'll see that all of the remaining dates, and most of the remaining sites, have been filled in on our 08-09 season. We'll talk about it more once we get the remaining sites plugged in, but for those of you who want to get a head start planning for summer 2009 and everything in between, be sure to check it out- we can't wait to talk about what's in store!
JBT Videos Posted While we're waiting for the embarassingly large backlog of title match videos to be posted, JBT TV can ease the wait, as they've posted the finals from last week's Glenfair event, with the Mojave Invitational event they filmed soon to follow. These are extremely high quality productions that we're extremely lucky to have, so be sure to thank Steven Black and his JBT TV crew for making it happen. To see the videos, just go to our Message Board, and follow the link. By the way, use that message board!!! It hasn't generated much interest since we relaunched it... is there something we can do better on it? Let us know!
