Tickets are now available for the ESPN-televised finals of the USBC Masters, bowling's premier professional event and a major tournament on the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Tour. Milwaukee will host the 2005 Masters which culminates in the stepladder finals, to begin at 1 p.m. EST Nov. 20 at the U.S. Cellular Arena in downtown Milwaukee.
Having the finals in the U.S. Cellular Arena will provide room for more than 7,500 spectators. The record arena final attendance is 7,212 set at the 1995 U.S. Open at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit.
The Masters attracts more than 550 of the world's top PBA professionals and amateur bowlers who will compete for a prize fund expected to approach $400,000.
Top stars returning this year will be defending champion Danny Wiseman, former champions Walter Ray Williams Jr., Norm Duke, Parker Bohn III and Mika Koivuniemi along with other top stars looking for their first Masters title such as Pete Weber, Chris Barnes and Patrick Allen, among many others.
A Masters finals ticket also will enable bowling fans to experience USBC BowlFest on Saturday evening Nov. 19 at the U.S. Cellular Arena where there will be music, bowling, food and fun for the entire family. Each ticket purchased for the finals will include admission to BowlFest. More information on BowlFest will be released at a later date.
Qualifying and match play rounds for the Masters will be conducted Nov. 15-18 at AMF Bowlero Lanes in the Milwaukee suburb of Wauwatosa with practice taking place Nov. 13 and 14. The Masters Pro-ams will be conducted Nov. 19 at AMF Bowlero Lanes.
