Actor Billy Bob Thornton (left) invites Late Night with Conan O'Brien host to join him and his crew bowling after the show in September.
Did you see NBC-TV's Late Night with Conan O'Brien in September when guest Billy Bob Thornton invited the show's host to join him and his crew bowling? Did you hear O'Brien respond with "I'd love to see a photo of me and Billy Bob Thornton bowling?"
It was one of nearly 200 television clips from last month that mentioned bowling. It helps prove that on television, in the movies and through the news, bowling is visually broadcast somewhere virtually every day of the year.
From Buffalo's Bowling for Dollars show to mentions of people going bowling on television and movie comedies and dramas to talk shows jokes to feature stories on how seniors are using Nintendo's Wii Bowling as a way to stay active, bowling constantly saturates the airwaves.
A new monthly bowl.com feature In the Media highlights most of these numerous daily affirmations that bowling is a daily part of the fabric of America. Check it out each month in the Pressroom section and see how many TV mentions of bowling you missed.
