The Big Shot™ from Columbia 300® is truly the next generation performance you’ve been waiting for. It was designed to be the “benchmark” ball for league players everywhere. The Big Shot combines the proven Centrifuge™ core (Rg - 2.476 and diff. - 0.050) with a new reactive formula – Optima™ that is perfect for today’s performance bowlers. This chemistry provides the bowler great length through the front part of the lane with a strong backend motion.

The Optima coverstock for the Big Shot has been outfitted with our new TCS™ (Texture Control System) 4000 finish. The TCS 4000 is constructed with additional sanding stations in our manufacturing facility to create a smoother finish. We started with a 400 grit sand paper and made our way up the ladder to 4000 just like you would execute in your pro shop. We then added a compound overlay to push the reaction further down the lane. The finish is easily repeated and will produce a longer and stronger backend motion.
