2005 ABC Tournament nominated as Best Amateur Sports Event by SportsTravel Magazine
For thousands of USBC members the annual pilgrimage to the USBC Open Championships (formerly ABC Championships Tournament) is almost a Mecca-type experience.
It's not only an opportunity to bowl in a one-of-a-kind stadium atmosphere, but also an opportunity for participants, family and friends to travel to tournament host cities across the nation.
As the world's largest participatory sporting event, between 60,000 and 90,000 bowlers compete annually and you may be one of them.
SportsTravel Magazine, which serves the people who organize and manage sporting events of all types at all levels, recognizes the significance of this great sporting event and has nominated the 2005 ABC Championships Tournament in the Best Amateur Sports Event category in its Reader's Choice online poll.
